Naturally, you're going to have to exercise your own good sense when it comes to some of these rules. For example, warning that a link is NSFW in a thread devoted to porny fanfic recommendations or trying to advertize a community completely unrelated to Free! is just the slightest bit stupid. Another thing to note is that specialized wank posts have their own set of guidelines that work alongside these general rules; said guidelines are included in the body of the post in question.
